RINK RULES

  • WAIVER FORM: All players must complete a waiver of liability for the Sunday League or Tuesday League

  • LOCKER ROOMS: Must be emptied by teams 30 minutes after their game ends

  • Players are not allowed on the ice while the ice is being resurfaced

  • Pucks must not be used until the Zamboni doors are closed

  • Posted rink rules must be followed

  • Be respectful to rink employees and direct any complaints to the league coordinator

GAME RULES

GAME RULES, STRUCTURE & LEAGUE REQUIREMENTS​

  • OFFICIALS ENFORCE MODIFIED USA HOCKEY RULES
    NOTE: Verbal or any other abuse of officials or staff will not be tolerated. Offending players are subject to supplementary disciplinary action. If you are that angry about an evening hobby, find another hobby
    ​

  • Regular Season Games:
    > Three 12 minute stop-time periods

     

  • Regular Season Overtime:
    > Sudden death, 
    3 on 3, three minute period
    > Teams DO NOT switch ends
    > Format changes to 4 on 3 if a penalty is called

    > Winning team records a Win (2 points)
    > Losing team records OT Loss (1 point)
    > If no team scores, each team receives a Tie (1 point)

     

  • Players must have a number on their game jersey
     

  • Teams must provide an up to date roster to the scorekeeper
    ​

  • Minor Penalties 1.5 minutes in length

  • Major penalties: 5 minutes in length​

  • Misconduct penalties: 10 minutes in length
     

  • 3 penalties by a player results in an ejection
     

  • During an altercation or fight, the game clock will continue to run at the referee's discretion
     

  • A goal differential of 6 or more in the 3rd period results in running time. If at any time that differential becomes less than 6, stop time is reintroduced.
     

  • Game Misconduct or match penalties must be served in the locker room or in the offending player's house. Any game misconduct will be noted and considered for any future discipline issues.
     

  • FORFEITS: If a team forfeits a game and a make-up cannot be scheduled, the forfeiting team receives a Loss in the standings. The other impacted team receives a Win. NO REFUNDS ARE GIVEN
     

  • Make-up games and some playoff games may be played on days other than Sundays or Tuesdays, pending ice availability and league scheduling. If no makeup is scheduled, see above​

PLAYOFF RULES

  • Same game and rule format as regular season

  • Single elimination format

  • Each team is allowed 1 timeout per game

  • Overtime format:
    > 5 vs 5, five minute sudden death period
    > 3 vs 3, five minute sudden death period
    > best of 3 shootout
    > sudden death shootout

  • Any player who has not registered/signed a regular season waiver will be ineligible to play in the playoffs

  • Registered players must have played in a minimum of 8 regular season games to play in a playoff game. Any roster challenge must be made to the referee prior to puck drop

THE DISCIPLINE COMMITTEE
& PLAYER CONDUCT

The Discipline Committee is comprised of 1 League representative, 1 referee, and 1 neutral party and has the right to review any player misconduct, penalty, or act performed in or around the rink and determine a finding, including supplementary discipline, suspension, and banishment. All resources, including referee reports, video footage, and player's history will be considered. Misconduct and discipline records are kept.

  • A major penalty for fighting results in an automatic 1 game suspension effective for the next regular season or playoff game, and the player's eligibility to resume League play must be determined by the discipline committee

  • A game misconduct penalty assigned at the conclusion of the game (0:00) results in a minimum 1 game suspension for the offending player, effective for the next regular season or playoff game

  • Intent to injure or misconduct will not be tolerated

  • All decisions are final. THERE IS NO APPEAL PROCESS

  • All communication will be done through the team captain

  • A reminder that this is a hobby
